PEDRO MAR
PEDRO MAR was born in La Paz-Bolivia, He began with the group Agrupación sin
Fronteras and had his First Records in 1983 with his group CANTO ANDINO, He
write the letter The song AYMARAS AND QUECHUAS. In 1987 he represented
La Paz in 4th. National Festival of the Charango, that took place in Aiquile-Cocha-
bamba, that year, he won the 3d. Festival of Popular Music and represented to La
Paz in the National Festival Music in Oruro-Bolivia.
In 1988 he was in the 1st. Con
cert of 100 Charangos in La Paz, after this concert, he represented Bolivia in the
37th. Fiesta de la Fruta y las Flores in Ambato-Ecuador. In 1989 he won the Gold
Record with his group CHUYMAMPI (creator of the name and the group).
In 1991 as solo had his first record in Inbofon Discolandia with tropical and rock
music. Since 1995 he play with his group LOS WALYS (tropical music) and that
year Pedro Mar founds the group WALISUMA (to teach the young musicians) to
play bolivian instruments like Charango, Zampoña, Quena, and write many Books
for teach to play the bolivian instruments, all the books are in English and Spanish
the 2005 he made another group CHURUBAMBA,Pedro Mar has 25 recordings.
In January 30 of 2009, the National Congress and Chamber of Diputies of Bolivia
made a recognition to all their cultural artistic work like musicians, composer and
author of teaching methods Resolution No.- 82/ 0809 January 19 2009.
LA PAZ - BOLIVIA
In La Paz - Bolivia where Pedro Mar was born and live, takes wonderful places to visit
where you can see beautiful mountains that are the eternal guardians of the nature
they offer fresh water and life to the humanity. In the highland you can find a
wonderful highest navigable lake -Titicaca where the first Inca Is said to have risen
from the water near the island of the sun. Near the lake, and also a day ´s
excursion from La Paz, is the precolombian city of Tiahuanaco whose impressive
stone monuments are variously dated from 7.000 BC to 100 AD.

La paz is the Political center and touchdown point for most tairbome travelers
Andes the airport is the world shighest La Paz is a compact city, although rather
hilly for strenuous Sightseeing. So save your breath for one of the most interesting
markets in All South America; calle Jimenez, Sagarnaga, near Plaza San Francisco
The star attraction is the witches market where The derby- hatted Indian women
prescribe herbs, potions, and Talisman for health, wealth and happy husbands. The
folklore in La Paz is majestic and the bigest party is the Gran Poder, that takes place in the
month June and shows all the dances characteristic of Bolivia, all the dances are Folkloric
Patrimony of Bolivia. The another fest is the Entrada Universitaria in the july month.
There is more fest all year in La Paz in diferent neighbourhood of the City, in this fests you can
see the different dances of Bolivia.
The countrys like Peru and Chile are to commit a robbery the differents dances
from my country Bolivia. My Bolivia is rich in culture.
